Chris Linden

Chris Linden is a jack-of-all-trades who leads NWQ’s Chicagoland magazine, in addition to writing, editing and graphics assignments for NWQ’s two publications. His areas of interest include small/local business and manufacturing, green building technology, local restaurants and community banks.
Born in Indiana and raised in Rockford, Chris graduated from Guilford High School in 2004. He earned his bachelor’s in Political Science from Millikin University, Decatur, Ill., and a master’s in journalism from the Medill School at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
Chris is a recent transplant to Crystal Lake. A former television producer, he most recently worked as Hometowns editor and web producer for WIFR before joining Northwest Quarterly full-time in 2010. He’s married to Rachel, who’s a speech language therapist with a knack for working with small children.
