Brides-to-be, are you still in a whirlwind from making the exciting decision of saying “yes” to a future of lasting and growing love? As you take the next steps in planning your dream wedding, could an adventure and unique location be at the top of your list?

Prepare for your happily-ever-after by taking a special wedding planning trip to Galena, a popular destination in northwest Illinois, to attend The Galena Bridal Fair on Saturday, Feb. 15.

“We will have a great mix of wedding professionals from the Galena region offering invitations, photography, officiants, catering, hair and nail services, and much, much more,” says Amy Laskye, owner of Amy May Photography, Ink and Paper, and Studio 1 Design in Stockton – all sponsors of the annual bridal fair. “Admission for brides is free with pre-registration on our website, and all others are $5 at the door. The first 100 brides-to-be will receive a goodie bag filled with information and items from our business professionals.”

The event is held at Galena’s Historic Turner Hall, which dates back to June 1874, when its cornerstone was laid. The multi-use facility, a wedding venue in its own right, includes a main area with a stage at one end and a balcony with 335 built-in seats.

The main floor leaves plenty of room for more than 35 vendors who look forward to personally speaking with brides-to-be about all of their services, options, pricing and show specials.

“We invite and welcome families, significant others and friends to attend with the bride,” adds Laskye. “Our event features easy one-stop planning for couples getting wed in our beautiful Galena area.”

Grooms-to-be also have a chance to browse updated tuxedo looks and chat with wedding professionals about their work.

As it’s done for nine years running, Galena Bridal Fair assists bridal couples with discovering the latest trends in everything from wedding receptions, bridal gowns and tuxedos all the way to the flavorful and intricately decorated cakes and cupcakes.

“We’re pleased to offer brides-to-be our popular Galena Bridal Fair so they can see all of the new trends coming their way in 2020,” adds Laskye. “Custom invitations, tall wedding centerpieces, and minimal and natural decorations for weddings are all in for next year. Let your imagination flow with ideas for your traditional, vintage and playful wedding. We’ll all be here to help you, and we hope the Galena area is the place you’ll begin a new life together.”
